In the 1992 Corvette, there were two significant technical advantages made. The base engine was redesigned and renamed to LT1. It remained 350 CID but power was increased to 300 HP. Also, all 1992 Corvettes were equipped with ASR, or Acceleration Slip Regulation. It limited acceleration wheel spin.
